Awards Ceremony & Post-Race Party

Overall awards will be given to the top male and female finisher in the overall category. Awards will also be given to the top three finishers in each age division.

Race Timing
The 5K is timed and scored. Each participant will be issued a timing chip that will need to be worn throughout the race in order to be timed and scored correctly.
Rules
A photo ID is required to pick up race numbers. You must have a race number to participate!
You must be able to finish the 5K in 60 minutes.
You must be in good health and physically prepared to undertake the challenges of a 5K.
Family and friends are not permitted to pick up your race number. No exceptions! You must show photo I.D. to pick up your race number.
No coaches, skateboards, baby joggers, bikes, dogs or inline skates will be allowed on the course.
Cancellation
If you cannot participate, the entry fee for the 2012 race will not transfer to the 2013 race.
Be a Volunteer
Volunteers are needed and welcome. It takes literally hundreds of volunteers to make our event go smoothly. The sooner you volunteer, the better…. If volunteers sign up early, it allows us to find out what areas are fully staffed. When you contact us, please let us know the area in which you prefer to volunteer. If you have no preference, we’ll be glad to call or email you back before the event with your assignment. Here are some of the assignments for which we are recruiting volunteers for our event:
Start/Finish Line & Course Clean-up Crew
Registration and Marketing
Packet Pickup
Assist with handing out race packets and registering runners.
Traffic/Parking Control
Assist Huntsville Police Department to direct traffic and parking and help with crowd control at the start line immediately before the race.
Start/Finish Control
Key point person that directs runners and provides last minute directions to the runners looking for the start line.
Coning of Course
To place cones along the course and retrieve them up after last participant.
Course Split Timers
Call times out to runners at each mile mark.
Course Guides
Encourage and direct participants at every turn along the course.

Chip Timing
Do you offer chip timing? The Music Moves Me Run is pleased to offer chip timing. Computer Chip Timing is the most advanced method of timing available today so you receive the most exact race time possible. Your time will start at the sound of the horn and stop when you cross the Finish Line.

Course Info
Will bikes, skates, or baby joggers be allowed on the course? Sorry, no bikes, skates, baby joggers, skateboards, will be allowed on any part of the course. This is for everyone’s safety.
Is there a course time limit? Yes, participants must complete the 5K course within 60 minutes.
Registration
How do I register for the Music Moves Me 5K? Registration opens January 12, 2012 and is available online through May 10, 2012 or you may complete a paper registration application and mail it to PO Box 11232 Huntsville, AL 35814.
Can someone else pick up my bib number and race packet? Unfortunately, all participants must pick up their own race packet. Photo I.D. is required. Race packets will not be mailed.
What do I do if I cannot participate once I have registered? All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund. If you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your number to anyone else and entry fees will not be transferred from year to year. What do I receive when I register? 5K entry, race number, chip, T-Shirt and goodie bag to be picked up at packet pickup and registration, water, energy drink along the course, refreshments and water at the start and finish lines, entertainment, music, and cheerleaders from start to finish, entry into post race celebration with your race number, and a musical experience lasting forever.
